The step with no bar on the ladder
Verification takes no percentage and appears nowhere in the arithmetic on this site, which is exactly why it catches people. Every other cost on the route is visible as a smaller number arriving somewhere. This one is visible only as a withdrawal that has not moved.
It is also the step most completely decided in advance. Nothing about the documents asked for at withdrawal depends on the withdrawal: it depends on the details the account was opened with, and those were typed weeks earlier.
What the catalogue records
Documents are requested at the first withdrawal, and a check may be run at any point for anti-money-laundering reasons.

The four things that decide how this goes
- The name on the account is the name on the documentsIncluding middle names, spellings and the order they appear in. This is the single most common mismatch.
- The bank account is in that same nameMoney returning to an account in a different name is the classic trigger for a review, and no explanation resolves it quickly.
- The address is current and provableA document proving an address is only useful if it is the address on the account.
- The record of the route existsWhere funds came from is a reasonable question. Someone who kept a record of the transfers can answer it in a sentence — see keeping a record of the route.
Why an operator asks at all
A licensed operator carries obligations that come with the licence: to know who holds an account, and to be able to account for funds passing through it. Those obligations do not appear in the marketing and they are not optional for the operator either. Understanding that changes how the request reads — it is not suspicion of you specifically, it is a condition of the licence that was read in the register.
| Usually asked for | What satisfies it | Decided when |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | a government document matching the account name | at registration |
| Address | a document showing the address on the account | at registration |
| Source of funds | a record of the transfers that produced the balance | during the route |
| Ownership of the payment method | the account being in the same name | at registration |
Every row is decided before the withdrawal it holds up. That is the whole point of this page.
What a mismatch looks like from the other side
A held withdrawal feels arbitrary. From the operator's side it is usually one field that does not agree with another: a middle name present on a document and absent from the account, a date entered in a different order, an address that was current two years ago. Resubmitting the same document does not resolve any of those, which is why a held withdrawal can stay held through several rounds of uploading.
- Read what was asked, precisely. "Proof of address" and "proof of payment method" are different requests with different answers.
- Correct the account, not the document. Where the account has a typo, the account is the thing to fix.
- Keep the record. Five lines per deposit answers the source-of-funds question in one message instead of several.
What this site will not help with
There is no page here on presenting an identity that is not yours, on masking where an account is being used from, or on satisfying a check with anything other than true information. Those are the things a search on this subject most often turns up, and they are not here on purpose. The risk in them is not abstract: an account frozen part-way through this route holds coin that cannot be withdrawn by any of the four steps.
